What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is is a type of rehabilitation that focuses on optimizing engagement in your daily life. This can be through improving posture, strength, range of motion, and more.
Our therapists provide Passaic County NJ patients with both hands-on and educational treatment methods to improve their overall quality of life.
Our occupational therapists offer detailed evaluations to help determine the ability of an individual to perform the basic tasks needed for daily and independent functioning at work, home, school, and more.
Some of the conditions we treat include:
Tendon and Nerve Injuries
What is Hand Therapy?
To return to a high level of daily functioning, hand therapy is a common treatment practice. Hand therapy follows the science of evaluating and treating injuries and conditions that impact the upper extremities. This includes shoulders, arms, elbows, forearms, wrists, and hands.
Both occupational and physical therapists offer hand therapy. This treatment plan offers non-operative interventions and post-surgical rehabilitation for a wide variety of upper extremity disorders and discomforts. Our therapists employ a variety of techniques and tools, including exercise programs, custom orthotic fabrication, pain, and swelling management, as well as wound and scar care.
